The Baxter Road Bible Church’s outreach to the Marlow Manor assisted living home began January 9, 2005. The preliminary goals we set were to consistently hold a church service there to minister to the residents and to provide an opportunity for Christians to use their ministry gifts. Those goals are being met.
Members of Baxter church have been encouraged to use their personal talents in this ministry. It is a chance to minister for Jesus and grow and hone the gifts that God has given each of us. The service consists of a song service, so here’s a chance to use your musical gifts, either playing the piano or leading the songs. Then there is a short message, so here is another chance to grow, especially if you have done very little public speaking.
There will be even more opportunities for Baxter Road Bible Church members to use their spiritual gifts and talents for the Lord during the year. If you can do any of things mentioned above or can share something else such as art or drama or a personal story of how God has helped you, please fell welcome to contact me. I can assist you, if you have the desire to get over a fear of public speaking or how to organize your talk or even if you are not sure how you can be helpful.
