1. We believe that the Bible is the Word of God and is the absolute truth—that it is inspired and given to mankind by God as a guide for how we should live and how we can have a personal relationship with Him.
2. We believe in the Trinity—God the Father, Jesus Christ the Son and the Holy Spirit.
3. We believe in the virgin birth of Christ, that He came to earth, lived a perfect life without sin and died in our place so we could be saved. Only God Himself would have the value as a sacrifice to cover the whole world’s sins.
You can get a more detailed doctrinal view of what we believe the Bible teaches by requesting a free set of our Christian Fundamentals booklets that explain our belief about the Bible, about Christ and about how to be saved.
We have a saying here at Baxter church that “if it doesn’t keep you out of heaven, it won’t keep you out of this church.” And by saying this we show that we realize honest sincere students of the Bible can have different opinions regarding what the Bible says about things like the rapture or the millennium.
If you believe in a premillennial, amillennial or postmillennial view of the last times or even if you have never heard about the millennium we don’t think it will keep you out of heaven, so whatever your views are about the millennium they won’t keep you out of Baxter church either. We insist on agreement on the important things like numbers 1 though 3 above but show respect for other’s beliefs on things that are a matter of opinion like thoughts on the millennium.
